The butte view, looking east from my front yard, just before sunrise. This is one of two shots I took yesterday. There are bald eagles nesting somewhere up there and I had an absurd hope that the nest would somehow magically appear in the tree tops on one of the pictures once I got them up on the larger screen of my PC. No nest. Sometimes absurd hope is what keeps me going though. The hours of excited possibility were totally worth the minor let down of seeing only houses, trees, and a lightening sky.
