Day 100. Weird. I am so very glad that I did this for myself. I am feeling more creative, inspired, and confident in my art than I ever expected. I love some of the shots that I took. I love that I learned so much about my eye and how to look for light and texture in places and at times that I wouldn't have thought to look before. I love that I completed something by and for myself. I love that I have a record of what I have seen the last three months.
I finally made it to Schnitzer Steel. A very nice young man who got blushy and tongue tied while talking to me (it was very flattering) came and told me that I wasn't allowed to take photos there. Dang. I got in a couple before he found me though. The majority of the photos from today are from a heavy equipment yard where there are lots of old machine parts gradually turning into lumps of rust. I took all of the shots through the chain link fence. The light wasn't great and I really had to work with the camera to make it see what I wanted it to see. I think that I will have to go back and talk to someone about getting into their yard to take more photos without the fence dictating the distance from what I am shooting,
Please comment. Please check out old photos. Let me know what you think! Big thanks to those of you who have followed this project. It was really fun to get to share it with you.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I have enjoyed them and have watched you grow in your art! Don't stop!
